Maria Kyriakidou is Associate Professor and Programme Convenor at Södertörn University. Her research focuses on the relationship between media, globalisation and crises, with a particular interest in audience studies.

Anne Kaun, Professor, Södertörn University
Anne Kaun is Professor at Södertörn University. Her research focuses on media theory, mediated temporalities, algorithmic culture, automation and artificial intelligence from a humanistic social science perspective. Her earlier research has examined the media practices of protest movements, including Occupy Wall Street, Occupy Stockholm and Occupy Latvia, with particular attention to how media technologies shape political mobilisation over time. She has also studied media memories and how practices of remembering are changing in the context of social media and commercial digital platforms.

Jaana Davidjants, Visiting Research Fellow, BFM, Tallinn University
Jaana Davidjants is a Visiting Research Fellow at the Baltic Film, Media and Arts School of Tallinn University in Estonia. She holds an MA in Political Science from Goldsmiths, University of London. Her PhD research examined social media-based multimodal storytelling of conflict and war. She has explored digital visual trust as part of the “Trust and Visuality: Everyday Digital Practices” project. Her research interests include humanitarian communication, social media activism and visual culture.
