The ongoing negotiations of digital technologies in for example education show the need for empirical knowledge and theoretically informed debates that move beyond binary positions of \u2018pro\u2019 or \u2018anti\u2019 technology. The postdigital perspective offers such a nuanced approach, recognizing both the deep entrenchment of digital infrastructures and the importance of critical reflection and futures thinking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Inspired by the symposium <a href=\"https:\/\/shows.acast.com\/mkv-podden\/episodes\/live-podd-the-digital-backlash-in-education\">The Digital Backlash in Education<\/a>, recently held at S\u00f6dert\u00f6rn University, Stockholm, and on the growing series of futures-oriented work in and around Postdigital Science and Education (see list below), <em>Postdigital Backlash: Past, Present, Future<\/em> conference examines the complex dynamics between acceptance and resistance of digital technology using the lens of postdigital theory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Related publications<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/link.springer.com\/article\/10.1007\/s42438-025-00601-9\">Hijacking the Digital Backlash in Education<\/a> (2025). <em>Postdigital Science and Education<\/em>.
