F\u00f6r att besvara syftet ska f\u00f6ljande fr\u00e5gor studeras:<\/p>\n<p>1) Finns det skillnader i verksamheten hos f\u00f6reningar som arbetar med ungdomar, beroende p\u00e5 stadens\/samh\u00e4llets storlek?<\/p>\n<p>2) Bidrar ett deltagande i f\u00f6reningslivet till b\u00e4ttre skolprestationer bland ungdomar?<\/p>\n<p>3) Om s\u00e5, p\u00e5 vilket s\u00e4tt kommer denna positiva effekt till st\u00e5nd?<\/p>\n<p>4) Ut\u00f6ver skolprestationer, kan f\u00f6reningslivsaktiviteter p\u00e5verka andra aspekter av det sociala livet f\u00f6r dessa ungdomar?<\/p>\n<p>Teoretiskt \u00e4r studien baserad p\u00e5 begreppet socialt kapital, som kompletteras med teorier om civilt samh\u00e4lle och sociala organisationer. Forskningsfr\u00e5gorna besvaras genom tre delstudier: a) en enk\u00e4tunders\u00f6kning riktade till elever i \u00e5rskurs nio i skolor med l\u00e4gre resultat, b) halvstrukturerade intervjuer med elever, deras f\u00f6r\u00e4ldrar, l\u00e4rare och aktiva i lokala f\u00f6reningar, och c) deltagande observation i f\u00f6reningsaktiviteter.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Project description<\/strong><br \/>\nThe project aims is to study and compare the impact of civil society organisations in Swedish small towns and big cities on young people\u2019s school results. The research questions are:<\/p>\n<p>1) Are there any differences between civil society organisations in these two contexts?<\/p>\n<p>2) Are we able to observe a positive impact on school performance due to membership in such organisations?<\/p>\n<p>3) If so, through which processes does such an effect operate?<\/p>\n<p>4) To what extent does participation in these organisations have an adverse effect on young people\u2019s freedom and mobility?<\/p>\n<p>The project is theoretically grounded in social capital perspectives, complimented with theories of civil society and social organisations. A combination of quantitative (survey) and qualitative methods (semi-structured interviews and observations) will be used to analyse the causalities and the processes of civil society organisations and the educational achievements of young people in marginalised urban areas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Civil Society Organisations and Educational Achievements of Young People in Marginalised Urban Areas.
